Out in late 2012, these tiny figures are Mini Mez-Itz by Mezco. They’re only two inches tall and obviously don’t have much articulation, but their small size makes them very cute. They’re sold in a two-pack together and Cold has a gun he can hold.

For some reason these figures were delayed by over a year and are apparently not available in Canada (I ordered mine through the US).

Out in 2008, Gorilla Grodd was part of a Minimate two-pack with the Flash. He’s apparently slightly taller than most Minimates, which is appropriate.

It’s a shame there haven’t been any other Minimate Flash villains (not even a repainted Reverse Flash, which is weird), because I love these little figures.

DC Super Villains: Captain Cold And The Blizzard Battle is a children’s book from 2012. Most of the books published in this series are focused on superheroes, but this particular one is from a small sub-series featuring villains (there’s also one for the Joker, Lex Luthor, Black Manta, etc).

The story is about Captain Cold’s rivalry with the Icicle II, with a guest appearance by the Top as Cold’s dim-witted buddy. It’s mostly text, with some illustrations.

Where do I get a copy of this?

It’s still widely available — there are a bunch of copies for sale on Ebay right now. Amazon.com and .ca have some too. The book is hilarious, it’s worth a buy.

Out in 2012, this is volume two in a series of RPG sourcebooks. It contains alphabetized biographies and gaming stats for a variety of DC characters, including quite a few Rogues.

Some Rogues have shorter entries than others; the bios/stats for the Top and newer Rogues like Tar Pit and Girder are abbreviated and contained under the entry “The Rogues” rather than in their alphabetical position. James Jesse is mentioned in Axel Walker’s entry, but doesn’t get any stats or much of a write-up. The two Mirror Masters share an entry and each gets a biography, but seem to share stats.

The books are published by the gaming company Green Ronin.

Wow, I find it funny that you post about him now, because I just made a team that has him on it today!

In 1997, the JLA set of Overpower cards included several for James Jesse. Overpower was a collectible trading card game for players to battle each other’s teams, and each character was given stats and abilities to facilitate play.

Out in 2011, this figure is part of the DC Classics line. It’s from Wave 18, one of the last before the series was discontinued from the mass market. The figure is about 6.5 inches high, notably taller than the Captain Cold from this line.

(Incidentally, note the spelling error on the display base. That was for promotion at Toy Fair; the figure doesn’t actually come with a base.)

In 1995, Skybox released a villains trading card set under the name DC Villains: The Dark Judgment. The art is all painted and unique to this set (meaning it isn’t used anywhere else). Several Rogues were part of it.

I only found out about this the other day. Heroclix player Nick Stanton won a tournament in 2011, and as his prize he got to choose a group to give an “Additional Team Ability” to. He chose the Rogues, so they now have an official card which gives them extra capabilities in the game (and listening to players complain about them, it sounds like they needed it).

DC used to publish annual calendars back in the 1970s, which featured new art from professional artists each month and fun things like trivia and puzzles.

This particular calendar is from 1976, and is included here because a bunch of Rogues appeared as the April pin-up.

Incidentally, if you’ve ever seen the list of DC characters’ birthdays, it comes from this calendar.

The other Mirror Master Heroclix from Origin. It’s very different from most Heroclix; rather than a human figure, it’s a flat thin piece meant to evoke a mirror.

Again, it’s not stated whether this is supposed to be Scudder or McCulloch, but I’d guess it’s McCulloch.

Mirror Masters are nasty. They can be hard to fight if used right.
